About Us

Welcome Bedfordshire African Community Centre

Bedfordshire African Community Centre (BACC) was founded in 2002.The purpose for the centre was based on a survey of Africans living across Luton which revealed that Africans living in the area would welcome a centre where they would be able to meet socially and participate in promoting African culture in the community. Since then, with the support of many organisations and a lot of hard work, the organisation has gone from strength to strength, catering to over 700 people across Luton.

Bedfordshire African Community Centre (BACC) is operated by the Community in partnership throughout United Kingdom. BACC provides a drop-in Centre for all people to participate in the Black Minority Ethic cultures as well as supporting their community members to integrate and participate in their local Luton Heritage projects.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide lasting and prompt outcomes for clients. We operate an open door policy which enables us to meet diverse needs and to signpost clients to other organisations. We also have a follow-up system in place which helps to monitor clients’ progress and to see that they are accessing available services within the community.

Donation invest to right place.

Our long-term work experience effectively brings us achievements with outstanding results. We have benefitted from donations from organisations and individuals who have either benefitted or are aware of the impact BACC makes in the lives of Africans living in Luton and Bedfordshire. We welcome donations in cash or by bank transfer and can assure you that your kind gesture is something we do not take for granted.

Volunteer with us.

We provide volunteering and work experience opportunities within our office or at our outreach events. Some of our current staff members were volunteers who took time to develop their skills and become fully integrated in the community. A number of our previous volunteers are doing well in their career paths. Some are resident in the UK and some have relocated to their home countries.
